The Orthopaedics department is one of the busiest departments in Govt. Medical College Manjeri. It caters to patients mainly from Malappuram, Palakkad, Trissure and Kozhikode districts. Elective surgical procedures include total hip replacement, total knee replacement, spine surgeries, deformity correction and arthroscopic surgeries and semi emergency cases like Long bone fractures, stabilization of spinal fractures, acetabular and pelvic fractures.

Out patient service: Functions 6 days a week from 8am to 2pm

Inpatient services: Sanctioned bed strength is 50, in 2 wards and 1 ICUs, 35 for male patients and 15 for female patients.

The department of Orthopaedics was started in Govt Medical College Kozhikode in 2013 under the leadership of Prof. Said Hussain.Since then the department has grown into a good centre for Orthopaedic advice treatment. The department has ten trained orthopaedic surgeons and four faculty members.
